Do we need a budget to start?
No… All of our programs are self-funding so you don’t require one cent to get started and you're financially protected every step of the way so you can’t lose money, you can only make it!
Could we actually lose money?
No… All of our programs are structured to protect you. If you don’t raise any money you don’t pay any money… that’s our service guarantee to you ... YOU CAN’T LOSE MONEY, with The Fundraising Group you can only make a profit!
Our sponsorship or event fundraising programs (School Fun Run and Green Up Clean Up) have no upfront costs and are both backed by our service guarantee. So if you don’t make a profit you don’t pay a cent.
Our buy-and-sell fundraiser (Sunblock Australia) has a full Sale-or-Return policy so any stock you don’t sell you can simply send back for a credit. Please note: the freight cost for returning stock is at your expense.
Can we still fundraise if we are a small school?
Sometimes a school can be too small to take advantage of buy & sell fundraising. For example: Lets say your school had 10 students and you did a chocolate drive where each student is expect to sell 24 chocolate bars and you made $1 per bar. In this case your school would make $240 profit ...
... event fundraisers like the School Fun Run and Green Up Clean Up are not limited by the idea of selling a certain amount of goods so your participants can collect as much sponsorship as they like.
For Example: we had a school with only 12 students raise $4,425.45 with a Fun Run to prove no school is too small. To achieve this same result with a chcoclate drive students would have needed to sell around 368 chocolate bars EACH!
Another example is a Victorian school that conducted a Fun Run with just 80 students and raised over $12,000!
Small groups, clubs and schools can also conduct our Sunblock Australia fundraiser as it has no minimum order.
What if our fundraising calendar is full?
All our programs are flexible so you can hold any one of them when it best suits your needs. If you have an upcoming event like a cross country or athletics carnival simply attach our programs to that event. This will save you time & effort and it won’t compete with your existing fundraising days already planned.
We need more funding but our community has already given so much this year?
A major advantage of sponsorship or event based fundraising like our Fun Run and Green Up Clean Up programs are that your local community is not obligated to sell a certain amount of product at a set cost like a chocolate drive … instead people can choose to give as much or as little as they like.
In addition, if you choose our Sunblock Drive you can actually save your community money on a product they all require during summer time. On average our products are about 40-50% cheaper then retail prices. We find that Sunblock is not a luxury item like chocolate, it is an essential one, so your local community will be delighted with the reduced price!
Does healthy fundraising really work?
Sure it does, our programs address Childhood Fitness, the Environment and Sun Safety so you will receive full community support … as opposed to chocolate drives that only result in part participation. Each year The Fundraising Group helps over 1,800 schools raise over $3 million collectively. To date, the highest amount raised by a client with a single TFG program was $29,427. The highest amount in recent times is currently $25,514.15. These amounts prove healthy fundraising works!
When is the best time to fundraise?
Our programs are flexible, you can hold them at anytime that suits your needs however we find most schools, groups & clubs will hold our:
- Fun Run in conjunction with their Annual School Cross Country or during Health & PE Week.
- Green Up Clean Up on Schools Clean Up Day in March (Term 1) or Schools Tree Day in July (Term 3).
- Sunblock Drive the start of Summer (Term 3) or during National Skin Cancer Week (Term 4) or Back-to-School (Term 1).
What are the incentive prizes for?
The incentive prizes are used to increase motivation for participation in the event and increase the total amount raised by each participant… BUT they also provide a great opportunity to teach your students about Goal Setting. Ask them to choose an amount they would like to raise and make that their goal. When they reach their goal they will receive the prize selected as reward for their effort on a job well done!
